7/19 - Men with long fingernails
I normally don't care much about appearances (contrary to what you might think after reading this) and I have never had a manicure of anything like that, but today I must comment about other men's hands. Have you ever seen a guy with long fingernails? It is completely disgusting.
What look are they going for? Freddy Krueger?
I once had a podiatrist with really long fingernails. Every time he held my foot it felt like he was stabbing me.
It really is a horrible affliction. Every time I see a man with long fingernails I want to hand him a dollar and tell him to buy a set of nail clippers.
Men with long fingernails: I hate you.

What about men with long toenails? Eww. I saw some of those today and I was disgusted. Hey men, if you are going to wear sandles, trim those toenails to non-dagger length.
what about long pinkie nails? i had a 40-ish manager at a record store that kept his coke-nail around just 'cause'..
he also named his kid Anakin.

This is an excellent topic. First thing I look at on a man is his teeth and nails. I see nails that could possibly cut glass and I am outta there. The coke nail story too funny. Oh and yes DH, you neglected bad long and fungied feet.

Only Gargoyles and women should have long nails. I have a nail clipper at my desk, at home and in the car. I'm prepared.
OMG gargoyles and women. he he. DH, it's not an affliction btw, it is utter disregard for your appearance. Oh and EP, you're not that guy in my train station who sits at the bench and we have to duck your clippings are you? ha ha.

I agree! Long nails on men is SO gross. Even the pinkee "coc" nail. Just not right!
you know what i hate? people who hate men with long fingernails. my nails are about a half inch out from my fingertip, all ten of them beautifully manicured and painted, and yes i do all my own work. when you're in beauty school you tend to practice on yourself. i can see the hate on people who just dont notice or care, whose nails and hands are grubby, dirty, and possibly dangerous. only men and gargoyles should have long nails? well, as much as you hate these men, transvestites everywhere now hate you. (as if you care)

i took this hate as hating on guys that neglected their appearance and therefore had long fingernails, not on trannies.
when i pictured it in my head i saw dirt under nails and everything. eeck.
I bite my nails. It keeps them short.

i hear you on the long in the tooth thing. but at my day job and in general it is amazing how much flack you can catch for having long, clean, pretty nails. i've seen some ragged nails on guys and girls, and it is a pet peeve of mine.

I think long nails look good enough. I cut them when they get hard to clean or interfere with my typing.
That's about it really, but they look just as good short to me, so I don't feel bad about them at all.
When I see another guy with them I say "that's interesting" to myself, but if there is not nail polish on it then I really don't thin about tit too much afterwards.
My nails are 10 cm, besides the pinky nails(20 cm). They are said to be beautiful.
umm... >.>; Female here, Personally... I wish I could find more sexy men with long pretty fingernails(paint or no). And long shiny hair, too. :3 And long robes... eh heh heh. But I'm beginning to think those guys only exist in shoujo manga. Unfortunate! When I think of princes, I think of long nails. They indicate hands unaccustomed to manual labor. *shugs*

I finally stopped biting my nails ( no more bleeding,and eating my bitin off fingernails and skin down to nothing )my wife hates it when I start to grow them.I guess she likes kissing me right after ive had my fingers in my mouth, and had them bleeding all day.I think thats sick. people who think bleeding,bitin,skin eating,and kissing there partner after all of that. (( think again, because thats what happens when you want your boyfriend or husband to keep there nails short. (( now think about that one,and have a great day.

Look folks, there are exceptions to everything(guitar players or trannies). but no matter which way younslice it, long fingernails on a man is gross and only means he is lazy and filthy and ungroomed. Any reason for lack of grooming is nothing more than a b.s. Excuse to be lazy and filthy. I have a relative who is older and never cuts his nails. Whenever the family gets together I have to sit down at abtable and eat next to this disgustingness. As if the person in question doesn't know that it's friggin way not normal to let man talons go like that! Get a clue Freakjob. Wanna know why you can't get a job at the local choke & puke? It's because you think it's ok to grow your fingernails out like a woman. It's beyond weird.
